[ Hien is at the little top flat part of the manor of Purrfect Penance. Roof life.
Though Elysium will hear some static and distortions even though it isn't loud... it's enough to be heard on the ground floor outside. He's humming a song, but it obviously... doesn't sound good with the distortions and static. Some things just don't work out. ]
[ He doesn't climb up right away. Rather, with the sound of a distant hum, he slows and treads lighter, stopping short of the wall to lean back against it, listening as though the sound might slip away if he makes any noise whatsoever.
Then comes the echo: Hien will hear the tune hummed right back to him, soft and familiar. Birds always were meant to sing melodies. Where one voice falters, others are there to carry it on. ]
[ It's really weird when you're blind and hear something echo when it's not supposed to, so he eventually stops and listens. The cat ears flicker as he turn his head towards the sound. ]
[ Cat ears turn forward in alert. What is this. There doesn't seem to be any physical changes on the face, at least. Things seem normal with his usual weird eyes.
Mm. It feels a little wrong to continue with what I wanted to do originally.
[ More to himself than Hien.
Still, the hand that had been just shy grows surer, sliding until it comes to rest along Hien's far arm, braced lightly against his back. The palm on his face folds, cupping his cheek. Maybe it's a good thing his expression's unreadable. ]
But I wanted to find you for a couple of reasons. What you did to me before you left the other day. Was that interest? Intent? Or——permission?
You think that's what this is? C'mon. You were just teasing my sensibilities. But when words fall short… that is what actions are for. Sure. I'll take a page out of your book.
[ —and that's all he says before he closes one of the last bits of distance between them. This kiss isn't nearly as gentle as the one Hien left him with, markedly intent. But it is still restrained enough that he could pull away if he wanted to.
now you know why i asked the mods about unique kisses ]
Hien should have expected this, but he didn't. He couldn't. He shouldn't. The cat ears perk up with attention before they flatten a little like the wings of an airplane.
He doesn't pull away. Instead, Hien returns the kiss, mimicking the strength Elysium put in for his. ]
[ He quietly breathes out after being kissed again. The flat ground against his back makes him want to retaliate, but he holds back for now.
For all of what Elysium told him, Hien felt that he could piece together the rest of it. Hien has almost always accepted things that happened, whether it was deserved or not. He accepts people for all their quirks, secrets, personalities, everything. ]
"You'd be right. What about it?"
[ He gets boxed in because he doest do anything that prevents Elysium from doing so. ]
[ Instead of leaning in for another kiss, he presses an affectionate nuzzle against the crook of Hien's neck. There's a beat, a quiet pause, before he tilts his face just enough to let his teeth graze Hien's lobe in a gentle snap. ]
What do you think? [ A soft laugh, breathed directly against him. ] I'm hitting on you.
[ A far more crass way to put courting, but it is what it is. ]

Hien listens, his cat ears perking up at attention. He's quiet even when Elysium finishes singing though, but shows him a small smile. ]

… Still blind?
[ Swings up after he's finished. ]

[ hello. Hien goes back to facing forward while sitting, despite being unable to see. ]

[ He sits, like, half an inch away from him.
Hi. ]
no subject
[ Half an inch.
Okay. ]
no subject
It is no inch. A hand rests shy of Hien's back, though that's somewhat explainable as Elysium just leaning his weight against it. ]
And your soul is something you usually bet with?

[ He quietly breathes out like a sigh. ]

[ Hm.
It's his turn to reach a hand up to Hien and tilt his face over. Almost as if inspecting him for any visible changes. ]

You can tell me to stop any time.

What...?
Hien just sits there like. Huh. He nuzzles the hand at his cheek anyway as he closes his eyes. ]
"... What do you think it was? You don't have to return it."

Him closing his eyes is permission enough. ]

At some point, the angle isn't going to cut it anymore—so he finds himself shoving Hien until he's flat on his back. ]
… Since you seem to prefer it when I'm direct: when you kissed me, it felt like you were accepting all of me. Especially after everything I told you.
[ Another kiss, deeper but quicker than the last. If given his way, he effectively boxes Hien between his arms. ]
Am I wrong?

There is no real good way of asking if Elysium is cursed, and Hien has been on the end of that before, so he won't subject him to that. ]

I can't give you my feather, but I am interested in you. If you want to change my mind, you're welcome to try.
